Holler Honda’s Fit for College CAR GIVEAWAY and Grade Incentive Contest
1. CONTEST. The sponsor of Holler Honda’s Fit for College Car Giveaway Contest (the “Contest”) will give away one new Honda Fit (the “Grand Prize”) according to the terms and conditions of these rules. The Contest will begin January 2018 and will end April 8, 2018.
2. SPONSOR. The Contest sponsor is Holler Honda.
3. ELIGIBILITY. As set forth below, all individuals who are, as of January 2018, high school students at Seminole or Orange County public and/or private/home schools within either county, who can provide a copy of their latest report card with at least all A’s and B’s, and at least one A in a major subject area (e.g., sciences, math, English, or any AP courses), and upon receipt of the vehicle can show a valid, never-suspended Florida driver’s license or permit, are eligible to participate in the Contest. Persons under the age of 18 may participate only with a valid parental signature proving legal parental or guardian consent if determined as finalist. Winner must have a valid Florida driver's license or permit and any winner 17 or under must title the vehicle with their parent or guardian. Each high school student is allowed to enter for each of the grading periods during the 2017-2018 school year (Please see section 5. HOW TO ENTER for details) that are completed by April 8, 2018. Holler Honda, and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and divisions, participating promotional partners, and each of their respective employees and immediate family members are ineligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is void where prohibited by law. Each individual that participates in the Contest agrees to be subject to and abide by these rules. Any deviation from these rules on the part of any contestant will render that contestant ineligible. All decisions of Holler Honda are final.
4. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN; VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
5. HOW TO ENTER. Only eligible students who qualify for a chance to win will have a chance to participate in the Grand Prize Drawing to win the new Honda Fit. To qualify for a chance to win, an eligible student must do the following: complete and personally deliver the registration form to the Holler Honda dealership, located at 2211 North Semoran Blvd., Orlando, FL 32807, or via the appropriate guidance counselor, and deposit the completed registration form in the designated locked receptacle at Holler Honda along with an unaltered copy of his/her current report card and/or proof of National Merit Scholarship finalist or semi-finalist letter of validation. Grades submitted are subject to verification by student’s school. Designated receptacle will be available beginning January 2018 through April 8, 2018 at Holler Honda. The specific hours and location can be found at www.HollerHonda.com. From those who enter, a report card with ALL A’s is allowed TWO ENTRIES per grading period. A report card showing ONLY A’s and B’s is equal to ONE ENTRY per grading period. Students who are National Merit Scholarship finalists or semi-finalists and who can provide a copy of valid National Merit Scholarship finalist or semi-finalist letter of validation may use said letter, in combination with the qualifying report card, will receive ONE additional entry, to total up to THREE ENTRIES per grading period. Separate entries are required for each grading period.
Finalists will be chosen at random from two (2) categories of entry: five (5) from Seminole County High Schools and five (5) from Orange County High Schools. The ten (10) students will be referred to herein as “finalists.” Student finalists will be officially notified by Holler Honda on or before May 2, 2018.
From the ten (10) finalists, respective school officials will confirm eligibility and one (1) winner will be chosen at random on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Holler Honda located at 2211 North Semoran Blvd., Orlando, FL 32807, to be the grand prize winner of a new Honda Fit, estimated AVR $18,000+. Each qualified student finalist who is eligible to participate in the Grand Prize Drawing must be present and sign in with a Holler Honda contest representative before the drawing begins. Only the ten (10) qualified student finalists who were notified personally will be eligible to register in the Grand Prize Drawing, using his or her current Florida driver’s license or permit. Each qualified student finalist who has properly reported to the Grand Prize Drawing event is referred to as a “final contestant.” Any finalist who fails to check in with a Holler Honda contest representative by 9:30 A.M. on May 5, 2018, or any finalist deemed ineligible, will be disqualified and not allowed to participate in the Grand Prize Drawing. After signing in, final contestants will choose a key at random. Any key that does not open the car will confirm that the final contestant is not a winner. The final contestant with the key that opens the car will be deemed the Grand Prize winner. If the winner is later disqualified, Holler Honda will randomly draw a new winner from the other finalists and such new winner will be notified in writing.
6. PRIZE INFORMATION. Two main prizes, the Grand Prize and the Honor Scholar Prize, will be awarded. Only one new Honda Fit will be given away to the Grand Prize Winner who meets the qualifications herein. Holler Honda agrees to pay sales tax, Tag and Title charges associated with the Grand Prize up to $1,080.00. Only one prize scholarship of $1,000 toward college textbooks will be given away to the Honor Scholar Winner who meets the qualifications herein.
7. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS/CONDITIONS. The Grand Prize must be claimed no later than May 12, 2018. If the Grand Prize is not claimed by May 12, 2018, the winner will be disqualified. The odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entrants. The Grand Prize winner will receive a 1099 form from Holler Honda. Any Contest prize is non-transferable and not assignable. Prior to claiming the Grand Prize, the winner will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and certain tax forms, and provide such other information as may be required to own or operate the Grand Prize within the State of Florida. Upon transfer of the Grand Prize, Holler Honda will have no further responsibility with respect to condition of vehicle and its operation. All qualifying rebates/holdbacks will be retained by Holler Honda. By entering the Contest, each participant consents without limitation and without receiving additional compensation, to the use of his or her name, voice, photograph, and/or likeness by Sponsor and its respective affiliates and promotional partners for advertising and promotional purposes. Failure to make promotional appearances (limit of 3) requested by Sponsor or grant such rights as reasonably requested by Sponsor may result in disqualification. If selected as a finalist, finalist will be contacted directly via contact information provided, so that additional information can be provided to ensure eligibility.
8. RULES; WINNERS LIST. Copies of these rules are available online at www.HollerHondaFitForCollege.com and during normal business hours at Holler Honda located at 2211 North Semoran Blvd., Orlando, FL 32807 or will be provided to you if you send a stamped, self-addressed envelope that identifies the Contest, to the same address. The names of the winner and finalists will be publicized through social media outlets, press release, and at Holler Honda after the winner has been awarded the Grand Prize.
9. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Holler Honda reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in violation of these rules, or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, or for any other reason deemed reasonable by Holler Honda. If after the Contest has begun changes or updates in these rules are deemed necessary by Holler Honda, all changes will be announced via www.HollerHondaFitforCollege.com. Holler Honda reserves the right to change these rules at any time as it determines necessary at its sole discretion. Holler Honda reserves the right to terminate the Contest if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Contest, or for any other reason deemed reasonable by Holler Honda. Previous Fit for College car winners are not eligible to participate. Winner who receives vehicle has no option of cash for vehicle.
10. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. All participants agree to release and hold harmless Holler Honda and all of its respective affiliated companies and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, legal counsel, and/or participating promotional partners from all losses, damages, penalties, claims, actions, suits, costs, and expenses of any kind whatsoever and any property damage, personal injury, or death to any participant or third person caused by or arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest or with the use of any prize awarded. Holler Honda is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the Contest or the equipment used in its administration.
11. DISPUTES. As a condition to participating in the Contest, participants agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively, before a court located in Florida having competent jurisdiction, which Court shall apply the laws of the State of Florida without regard for the doctrines of Conflict of Law. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and each hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or attorneys’ fees.
